Terms and Conditions/Service Policy

By booking services with The Hair Lady, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure fairness, professionalism, and respect for both clients and service providers.
Appointments & Scheduling

Appointments may be scheduled online, by phone, email or directly with me.

Please arrive on time for your scheduled service. For mobile appointments, ensure that the environment is safe, accessible, and prepared for your stylist to work.
Cancellations & Rescheduling

I kindly request 24 hours notice for all cancellations or reschedules.

Late Cancellations: Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee based on the scheduled service price and reserved time. I understand emergencies happen but as soon as you know you can't make your appointment please let me know.

No-Call/No Shows: Banned from booking again.
Travel Fees for Mobile Services

A standard $25 travel fee applies for mobile salon services within a 10-mile radius of downtown Des Moines.

This area covers all of Des Moines and parts of surrounding suburbs, including South Ankeny and North Norwalk.

New travel clients must pay the travel fee in advance to confirm their booking.

Travel outside of the standard service zone may be available. Fees beyond the $25 zone are negotiable based on distance and time required.
Payments

Payments are processed securely through Wix.

Travel fees and deposits (when required) must be paid in advance.

Final balances for services are due at the completion of the appointment.
Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if:

The environment is unsafe or unsanitary

A client displays disrespectful, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior

Providing the service may compromise the health or safety of the stylist or client
Refunds & Redos

No refunds are offered on completed services.

If you are unsatisfied with your service, you must notify me within 7 days of the original appointment.

Redo services are provided to correct the original service only (not to change the style, color, or look originally agreed upon).
Photos & Media

Photos may be taken during or after services only with client consent.

Photos may be used for educational or promotional purposes with verbal permission.
